Joseph Benjamin Ferguson
Joseph Benjamin Ferguson, 23, waived his preliminary exam on five charges and Judge Oakley bound him over to circuit court for a Sept. 11 arraignment on the information. Circuit court, however, adjourned the AOI until Sept. 23 before Judge Gregory D. Bill.
Ferguson is charged with fleeing a police officer – third degree, assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, operating while intoxicated, operating while license suspended and reckless driving on June 9 in Sumpter Township. Chad Allen Roberts
Chad Allen Roberts, 45, waived his preliminary exam before Judge Oakley and was bound over to circuit court for a Sept. 11 arraignment on the information. He was charged with operating with a high blood alcohol content, operating while intoxicated, and operating while license suspended, revoked or denied on June 23 in Sumpter Township. Roberts is free after posting bond of $10,000/10%. His retained attorney is Michael Vincent.
On Sept. 11, Roberts pled guilty to the charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content and the two other charges were dismissed. Sentencing by Judge James R. Chylinski was set for Oct. 30. Bond was continued.
Aaron Michael Armos
Aaron Michael Armos, 21, waived his preliminary exam before Magistrate Lisa Martin and was bound over to circuit court for a Sept. 11 arraignment on the information. He is charged with malicious destruction of a building — $20,000 or more – on Aug. 10 in Sumpter Township. His court-appointed attorney is Richard Banta. A disposition conference before Judge Gregory D. Bill was set for Sept. 24.
Amanda Renee Cox
Amanda Renee Cox, 26, waived her preliminary exam and Magistrate Martin bound her over to circuit court for a Sept. 11 arraignment on the information. Cox is charged with one count of controlled substance – possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams on April 21 in VBT and is free on $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
On Sept. 11 she pled guilty to the charge and the plea was accepted. She was referred to probation for a pre-sentence report. Sentencing will be Nov. 13 by Circuit Court Judge James R. Chylinski.
Latasha Antonette Bailey
On Sept. 18, Latasha Antonette Bailey, 33, waived her preliminary exam before Judge Oakley on charges of receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle and unauthorized driving away of an auto on Oct. 14, 2017 in Van Buren Township. She was bound over to circuit court for an Oct. 2 arraignment on the information. Bailey is free on $2,000 personal recognizance bond. Her court-appointed attorney is Kathleen Tulacz.
Brandon Antonio Barros
