The Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its nominees for chamber awards.
This year, it had 39 unique names for nomination, and had to cut the field to four per category, said Interim CEO Mike Kole. He said they had well over 80 total voters so they first cut it down by those that had multiple nominations.
Nominees are:
Small Business of the Year
• A Design Line Embroidery
• Garden Fantasy on Main
• Egan’s Pub
• Edward Jones Financial
Large Business of the Year
• Servis Group
• Atchinson Ford
• Moving the Mitten
• Davenport Brothers
Community Service Award
Ted Kuckelman
• Mark Laginess
• Ashley Shukait
• Deborah Hogan
• Pastor Nathaniel Oregon
Chamber Member of the Year
• BYC
• Diedre Rivera-Creal
• Susan Richardson
• VFW Post 4434
As of Monday, Kole said 90 members had voted and 230 community members.
“We are using the community-member votes to break any ties, and will be giving away a “People’s Choice” award to the top vote-getter from them. The awards will be announced at the annual awards banquet on March 21.
