The Rotary Club of Belleville was very busy in the days leading to the holidays, said Rotarian Ray Eissinger.
Among the club’s recent efforts are:
• Bell-ringing for the Salvation Army;
• Providing 100 new winter coats to Belleville school students in all grades;
• Delivering 2,500 reusable water bottles to the school district;
• Funding the badly needed re-roofing of the Victory Park gazebo; and
• Installing decorations including holiday lights and a tree at the gazebo.
The club currently is meeting by Zoom at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. Those interested in attending a meeting can go to the Rotary website www.bellevillerotary.org, click on “Contact Us” and indicate their interest. The club will follow up, Eissinger said.
