On March 14, the Belleville High School Boys Basketball Team ended its participation in this year’s district regionals with a 67-43 loss to Lincoln Ypsilanti at Lincoln High School.
BHS hosted district playoffs last week, and the BHS team beat Westland John Glenn, 66-60, on March 11; Romulus, 74-63, on March 9; and Taylor Kennedy, 74-44, on March 7.
The team finished the regular season with a record of 16-4, the best regular season since 2008-09 (also 16-4). The team also finished 9-1 in the Western Wayne Athletic Conference Blue Division tying Romulus for the league title. This is the first league title for the Boys Basketball Program since 2005-06.
Coach for his third year is BHS social studies teacher Adam Trumpour.
