The annual, lighted Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade starts off from Belleville High School at 6 p.m. on Satuday, Dec. 5.
This year’s theme is “A Norman Rockwell Christmas.” Santa Claus will be brought to town on a city of Belleville fire truck and will be given the Key to the City.
After the parade, there will be a ceremonial lighting of the city Christmas Tree in front of the museum. Santa will be seated inside Belleville First United Methodist Church to listen to Christmas wishes from children.
Outside the church on the lawn will be a living nativity scene, an annual favorite for the crowd.
A fireworks display over Belleville Lake follows from the Denton Road Bridge.
Throughout the weekend there will be skating on the Fourth Street Square, courtesy of the BYC, and ice sculptures throughout the city, courtesy of the businesses.
