School Board announces Schools of Choice, sets organizational meeting

At a six-minute, special meeting on Monday, the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education met to take care of two items that needed to be voted on before the end of the year.
The first item was a resolution announcing the second semester Schools of Choice program. The window for registration is Jan. 6-20, prior to the beginning of the second semester.
The second item was to vote on a date for the official organizational meeting of the board. Although it had already been set as 7 p.m., Jan. 13, at the Belleville High School Commons, by law the board has to vote on the date – so it did and then adjourned.
