Belleville residents wishing to run for one of the two seats on the Belleville City Council that will be filled in the Nov. 4 election have until Oct. 24 to register as a write-in candidate. There will be no names for council on the ballot and voters will have to write-in their selected candidates. Only those who have registered as write-in candidates will be counted.
As of Oct. 6, the two councilmembers whose seats are expiring – Julie Kissel and Jeremiah Beebe – are the only two candidates who have registered as write-ins
