The City of Belleville, Sumpter Township and Van Buren Township have bright green, household hazardous waste vouchers to present when residents take their TVs, computers, cell phones, batteries, fertilizers and other waste to a disposal location in Livonia.
The Environmental Services Division of Wayne County Public Services invites those in Wayne County to take their household hazardous waste to the Environmental Recycling Group, 13040 Merriman Rd., Livonia 48150 through the end of the year.
Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 31. Visitors can access the building from the south parking lot off Industrial Road.
Vouchers are required and can be picked up at the Belleville city hall front desk, at Sumpter Township hall, and in the Parks and Recreation office at Van Buren Township hall.
