Van Buren Park beach closed, French Landing Park closed for construction

Pardon our dust, at the parks.
The “Saddle,” a portion of Van Buren Park’s road, which connects the front and back loops, is currently under construction. While this project is under way, there will be little to no access to this area.
This also means the park beach is closed until further notice. This project is part of the Iron Belle Trail and was made possible through a Wayne County grant. When completed, this area will be paved with a walking path.
French Landing Park also is closed as of Monday, June 7. Construction consists of site demo, prep, pathways, new sunshade, and outdoor furniture. Bathrooms at French Landing will be closed during construction.
