A Van Buren Township semi-truck driver was charged with vehicular manslaughter and failure to stop at a clearly marked stop sign in Rossburg, Ohio on March 18.
Andrei Mihaescu, 28, was taken into custody on the charges after a Rossburg woman, Karla K. Greer, 55, died in the two-vehicle crash in Darke County, sheriff’s deputies say.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office said the white, 2011 Freightliner tractor-trailer drove through a stop sign and struck a 2014 Dodge Journey at about 12:40 p.m.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was treated and released at the scene, but later taken into custody.
