Anna Baird, granddaughter of Mary Jane and Rick Dawson of Belleville, completed her freshman year at Olivet College in May. She carried a 4.0 GPA for the entire year and also made the Dean’s List and the President’s List for every marking period.
“It goes without saying that we are very proud of her, as are her parents, Jim and Melinda,” said M.J. Dawson.
Anna is also a member of the women’s soccer team.
Anna is pursuing a career in Criminal Justice, either as an attorney or in law enforcement. Her father is the former Chief of Police for the Ann Arbor Police Department, so she may decide to follow in her dad’s footsteps.
