David Arthur Delong, 41, was charged with a felony — domestic violence 3rd — and a misdemeanor — malicious destruction of property less than $200 — for an incident in Sumpter Township on March 3.
He was before 34th District Court Judge David Parrott for his preliminary exam on March 27.
The Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor dismissed the 3rd-offense felony notice and proceeded with first-offense domestic violence, a misdemeanor. The complaining witness was not present on March 27 when the preliminary exam had been scheduled.
The misdemeanors will be heard in court on April 17 and the court-appointed defense attorney said she would subpoena the misdemeanor witness for that date.
Judge Parrott reminded Delong that there was a no-contact order for the victim. Delong is free after posting bond of $10,000/10%.
