State Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood, D -Taylor, is inviting local residents to join him at an upcoming movie showing and coffee hour.
Sen. Hopgood invites members of the community to his fourth-annual Free Veterans Day Movie Event on Friday, Nov. 9, at 12:30 p.m. in acknowledgment of the tremendous sacrifice and service of America’s military veterans.
In cooperation with MJR Westland Grand Cinema 16, “Bohemian Rhapsody” (PG-13), which is based on the story of Queen, their music, and the struggles and legacy of lead singer Freddie Mercury — will be shown. Tickets are limited to two per veteran and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP is required.
In addition, the senator invites local community members to join him at his November Coffee Hour on Friday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m., following the movie showing. The coffee hour will provide an opportunity for citizens to meet with Sen. Hopgood and discuss current events in Lansing and the local district.
