A celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-era veterans will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at the Belleville High School Auditorium.
Vietnam veteran Leroy Paige of Sumpter Township invites all Vietnam vets and the public to attend the event.
He said the Vietnam-era is from November 1955 to May 1975 and veterans are included no matter where they served.
He said when they returned home, these veterans did not get good treatment. This event is to honor their service and sacrifice, he said.
The veterans will be presented with special pins and those who are survivors of lost veterans will also get a special pin, he said.
