Once again, the 5 Points Church will be offering a grief seminar/support group for all area residents. GriefShare is a 13-week program which will help anyone grieving the loss of a loved one through death.
GriefShare is a 13-week, non-denominational program that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. Whether the bereavement experience is recent or not so recent, there are tools for coping with grief.
Meetings will take place on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the 5 Points Church in Romulus at 37300 Goddard and Huron River Drive.
The series is running from Feb. 21 through May 16. Participants may attend any or all meetings, although the most benefit is received through attending every meeting.
The DVD seminar/support group features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories by people who have experienced the pain of losing a loved one, followed by group discussion. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines.
Registration fee is $15 which will include a journal/workbook that coordinates with the DVD subject for each week. There is more information at www.griefshare.org, and a promotional video can be found at https://vimeo.com/100993018 .
