The 35th-annual Life Chain is set for 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Main Street and Five Points in the city of Belleville.
The event is sponsored by Right to Life — LIFESPAN and co-sponsored locally by Life Pointe Church (formerly Belleville Church of God) and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Belleville.
Thousands of participants across the United States and Canada are expected to stand on the sidewalks on this date in witness to their commitment to love and to protect the preborn and their mothers.
The signs deliver messages that “Abortion Kills Children,” “Adoption is the Loving Option,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” “Pray to End Abortion,” and “Life – The First Inalienable Right.”
Twenty-two locations are scheduled to take part in the event in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
