Following an investigation into the reported suicide of 24-year-old Haleigh Pace at her home on Montana Street in the Holiday West Mobile Home Community on June 29, 2025, her 39-year-old live-in boyfriend, David Paul McPherson, has been arrested and charged with her murder.
The charge was entered July 31.
McPherson was video-arraigned in custody on July 31 by Judge Lisa Martin at 34th District Court on charges filed by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
He is charged with second-degree homicide and felony firearm possession. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety, and if he does bond-out he is to be on a GPS tether and not to contact the protected party. All firearms are to be forfeited to the police department and he is not to purchase or possess firearms.
McPherson’s probable cause conference was set for Aug. 13 and his preliminary exam for Aug. 20 before Judge Martin.
