In partnership with the Taylor Conservatory Foundation and Programs to Educate All Cyclists (PEAC), Sen. Hoon-Yung Hopgood, D–Taylor, will host his seventh-annual Children’s Bicycle Helmet Giveaway on Friday, June 15, beginning at noon at the Taylor Farmer’s Market, 12111 Pardee Road.
Sen. Hopgood will be giving away bike helmets to children on a first-come, first-serve basis. The event will run from noon to 3 p.m. or until all the helmets are gone.
Members of PEAC will be on hand that day to fit the helmets to size for each child, therefore, children must be present to obtain their bike helmet for a proper fitting. All families in the Sixth Senate District and the Downriver area are invited to attend the event.
Belleville, Van Buren Township, and Sumpter Township are part of Michigan’s Sixth Senate District.
For more information, call Sen. Hopgood’s office at (517) 373-7800 or email [email protected] .
