Celebrate MiLIFE, a Wayne County non-profit, announces its seventh-annual Mental Health Fun Day, a free, adult-focused, and family friendly event designed to promote mental well-being and community connection.
This year’s Fun Day, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13, at Romulus Historical Park, will offer a day of de-stressing and engagement. Attendees can enjoy a variety of free activities, including yoga, cornhole, fowling, face painting, a bouncy house, coloring stations, and live acoustic music from local artists.
The event will also feature raffles, vendors, and comfort-food favorites from food trucks, including Cinnabon on Wheels and Stellos Burgers & Loaded Fries.
This event serves as MiLIFE’s primary annual fundraiser, aiming to significantly expand its mental health programs and resources in the downriver area and beyond.
Friends, families, businesses, and community leaders are invited to join in, learn about local resources, and be a part of fostering a more-resilient and supportive environment.
“Our annual event is a cornerstone of our efforts to destigmatize mental health challenges and provide accessible support,” said Miranda Jones, CEO at MiLIFE.
“By participating, our community and sponsors aren’t just gaining visibility; they’re directly investing in the resilience and health of our community. Every dollar helps us reach more individuals, offer more programs, and build a more compassionate environment for everyone.”
