The League of Women Voters of Wayne County and the Michigan Democracy Institute Consortium at Henry Ford College will present a two-part program on Oct. 4 for voters wishing to learn about the statewide ballot proposals and the candidates running for the Wayne County Circuit Court.
The event will be held at Forfa Auditorium, Building L, Henry Ford College, 5101 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, 48128, and is open to the public
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a non-partisan presentation of the pro and cons of the state ballot proposals, by League of Women Voters of Michigan President Judy Karandjeff.
From 7-8 p.m. there will be a candidates’ forum for the six non-incumbent candidates running for the three seats on the Wayne County Circuit Court. The public can submit questions for the candidates that will be asked by a League moderator
The forum will be video-recorded and the link will be available on the Wayne County League websites shortly after the event.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. It never supports or opposes any political party or candidate.
