To Community Residents:
RE: McBride Road Paving Project Community Meeting – June 7
Van Buren Township has received a grant from Wayne County to pave McBride Road between Quirk and Beck Roads. The grant provides 80% of the cost of the project with the residents and the school district matching the other 20% through a special assessment district.
The current project will convert this section of McBride Road from a gravel road to a paved road. Please note as part of this project it will be necessary to replace driveway approaches and perform other related work in the area.
The Township will hold a public information meeting to present the project to neighborhood residents. This meeting will be held on Thursday, June 7, in the Township Board Room at the Van Buren Township Hall. Township Hall is located at 46425 Tyler Road. The purpose of the meeting is to inform the residents of the construction process, to provide a general construction schedule and to introduce you to the Township representatives who will be in the field during the project. You are welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting. Representatives from the contractor and the Township engineers will also be in attendance to answer any questions you may have regarding the project.
If you have any questions or special accessibility needs for the meeting, please contact Ron Akers, Director of Planning and Economic Development, Van Buren Township, at (734) 699-8913.
