Gov. Rick Snyder reappoints Robarge to Human Trafficking Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder announced on Dec. 10 the reappointment of Brigette Robarge of Belleville to the Human Trafficking Health Advisory Board.
The board is housed in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and works to address issues relating to medical and mental health of human trafficking survivors.
“I am confident that Brigette’s contributions on this board will help ensure Michigan is doing whatever possible to hold criminals accountable while strengthening protections for human trafficking victims,” Gov. Snyder said.
Robarge is a driver with Manheim, a dealership transport operation and is a survivor of human trafficking. She earned an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Schoolcraft Community College and is working on a bachelor’s degree in social work. Robarge continues to represent human trafficking survivors.
Robarge will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2019. Her appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
