The report that starts on the Independent’s July 28 front page, “Doug Peters tell LDFA Visteon Corp. is a bad neighbor, corporate thief,” requires two slight corrections. In paragraph 2 of the article, it is implied that the deal that is the subject of the lawsuit was made before Visteon declared bankruptcy, but the deal was made as part of the bankruptcy.
On page 13, third column, third paragraph, Peters said he remembers inviting former, but not current Visteon employees to come forward with any information… [showing it was Visteon’s intent to make future payments in the event property taxes were insufficient to meet bond payment obligations].
We regret the errors.
