A story on page 17 in the June 10 issue of the Independent mentioned that someone possibly was hunting on the former Ford property that now is township property across Tyler Road from township hall. Rick Williams, who attended the township board meeting by zoom, said he didn’t say that he “walks through it and sees blinds.” He recalls it was Supervisor Kevin McNamara who made that statement during the discussion. Supervisor McNamara also said that property is not for hunting and no one has permission to hunt there.
Williams said he doesn’t want to be accused of trespassing on township property. We apologize. Sometimes on these zoom meetings it’s hard to tell who is speaking.
