Belleville Rotary members and friends spent Saturday, Sept. 30, cleaning up the island on Belleville Lake. They had to wait 45 minutes for the fog to clear before they began. They said the new owner of Paddle Belleville reached out to the club and asked if it could help.
Rotarians Rachel Kozlowski, Mary Jo Suchy, Debbie Green, Elena Manalp, and Norm from Paddle Belleville were present. Other people learned about it on social media and wanted to help, including a couple that just moved to Belleville this summer. They brought their kids over to help, as well.
