Belleville Mayor Kereen Conley is in Washington, D.C. this week attending the National Conference of Mayors.
Mayor Conley was absent from Tuesday’s meeting of the Belleville City Council and Mayor Pro Tem Jack Loria presided at the meeting.
City Manager Diana Kollmeyer explained Conley’s plans.
She said it is her understanding Conley will attend the Presidential Inauguration and go to the Michigan Ball.
The agenda for Tuesday’s 15-minute meeting had no General Business, but the council approved paying bills that included new flooring at city hall from RJ Perry Carpentry at a cost of $4,810 to replace asbestos tiles required by MIOSHA officials, who noticed the flooring when they came in to investigate the fire department.
