Tractor Supply Co., which has been supplying advertising inserts to readers of the Belleville-Area Independent for months, is expected to break ground in Canton Township in August for its newest store.
Tractor Supply will doing a major renovation of a building that formerly housed Livonia Magnetics, which has relocated to Livonia. The new Tractor Supply building is located on Michigan Avenue between Sheldon and Morton Taylor roads.
Founded in 1938, Tractor Supply began as a mail order tractor parts business, but now has more than 1,700 stores. The company’s customers include farmers, horse owners, pet owners, ranchers, part-time and hobby farmers and suburban and rural homeowners, as well as contractors and tradesmen, according to its website.
