Twisted Rooster of Belleville, owned and operated by Grand Rapids-based Meritage Hospitality Group, will host a community clean-up in honor of Earth Day on Sunday, April 22, from noon to 2 p.m.
Volunteers will meet on High Street in downtown Belleville at noon and will be supplied with gloves and trash bags.
“What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to host a neighborhood cleanup in our own town,” said Natalie Bates, general manager at Twisted Rooster. “I have always wanted to organize a clean-up day in Belleville and thought this would be the perfect occasion to launch an annual town clean-up event.”
Community members can register to volunteer by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CXVVJC or send an email to [email protected] . Twisted Rooster will continue the Earth Day celebration after the clean-up with a volunteer appreciation party. The restaurant will donate complimentary appetizers and beverages for those who participate in the clean-up.
“Commit to the mitt is our motto and at the heart of all we do,” Bates said. “It’s not just about our commitment to provide locally sourced products, but it’s also about our commitment to give back to our community.”
