Female pinned in vehicle at Sumpter Township accident June 24

A 19-year-old female was pinned her vehicle in a single-car accident at 11:07 p.m., Saturday, on Martinsville Road south of Judd in Sumpter Township.
Sumpter Police Det. John Toth said the woman apparently lost control of the vehicle she was driving on the dirt road. The 21-year-old male passenger was standing outside the vehicle when Sumpter Fire Department emergency crews arrived, Det. Toth said.
The female had severe facial injuries, but they were not life-threatening, he said. She was taken to a hospital by Med Flight.
The male was taken to a hospital by Huron Valley Ambulance.
