The League of Women Voters of Northwest Wayne County announce that the tape recordings of the recent candidate forums in Van Buren Township and Sumpter Township are now on line.
They are on the League’s website: LWVnorthwestwayne.org (in the “Calendar” section). Also, the League’s print voter guides were delivered to the Belleville Area District Library last week.
The League also has election information at VOTE411.org . All the circuit court candidates are there, along with everything else that will be on the Aug. 2 ballot.
Paula Bowman of the League said the Belleville-area League membership has asked for a forum for the Van Buren Public School Board of Education candidates and the scheduling for that is under way and will be announced when finalized.
The filing deadline for school board candidates is July 26.
