Maleke Anthony Dooley, 17, waived his preliminary exam before Chief 34th District Court Judge Tina Brooks Green on July 6 and was bound over to circuit court for an arraignment on the information on July 20. He is facing a charge of carrying a concealed weapon on June 24 in VBT.
Co-defendant is Derrick Michael Smith, 17, also charged with carrying a concealed weapon on June 24 in VBT. VBT Det. Mark Buxton is the officer in charge of the cases.
Samuel Raymond Freeman
Samuel Raymond Freeman, 29, waived his preliminary exam on charges of operating while intoxicated – 3rd, driving while license suspended – 2nd, and driving while open container on July 29, 2015 in VBT.
He was ordered to be at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice for an arraignment on the information on July 13. VBT Det. Mark Buxton is the officer in charge of the case.
Bond of $10,000/10% was continued, but he was lodged in the Wayne County Jail facing other, similar charges and has a probable cause conference set before Judge Oakley on July 20. Judge Green said she probably will be filling in for Judge Oakley on that date. Also, she set personal bond on that as a courtesy since he already is in jail.
Wyatt Harris is his court-appointed attorney.
Jon Allen Colombo
Jon Allen Colombo, 60, was due for his probable cause conference, adjourned from June 22, on a charge of operating while intoxicated-3rd on May 10, 2015 in VBT.
His retained attorney, Elizabeth Young, asked for and was granted a six-week adjournment until Aug. 17, so they could obtain a letter she did not explain.
He is free on $10,000 personal recognizance bond. Officer in charge is Det. Mark Buxton.
