On Monday, May 30, the winners of the Sumpter Township Country Fest Cutest Baby contest were announced.
In the Cutest Baby Girl contest, Jasmine Larr is the first-place winner. She is the daughter of Heather Napoletano and Spike Larr of Sumpter Township. The second-place winner is Haiden Bailey Hnot, the daughter of Justin Hnot and Joanna Klien of Van Buren Township. Coming in third in the contest is Kara Grandowicz, the daughter of Tommy and Morgan Grandowicz of Wayne.
In the Cutest Baby Boy contest, first-place winner is Thomas Truchan, son of Melinda Harris and Brian Truchan of Westland. Hunter Ray Kull is the second-place winner. He is the son of Felicia and Steven Kull of Van Buren Township. George Salajan IV, son of Katie Barnett and George Salajan III, of Sumpter Township, is the third-place winner.
Other participants in the Cutest Baby Girl contest were Kiersten Bell, Jessabelle Bradley, Claire Smith, Avery Ella Williams, Addison Serna, Emma Marie Garcia, Alana Salisbury, Lana Barker, Rosalynn Grace Kazq, and Elizabeth Mason.
Other participants in the Cutest Baby Boy contest were Thomas Blair, Grant James Beauregard, Adam Al Said, Kaiden Thompson, Jackson Joye, Gunner Grandowicz, Jesse Morgan, Samuel Horen, and Kodi Ryan Plozal.
The staff of the Sumpter Parks and Recreation Commission would like to thank all of the contestants and their families for their participation and generosity. Thanks also goes to John Hennessey of Hennessey Engineering Inc., Southgate, who has sponsored the contest for many years. Proceeds from the contest help fund activities such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Family Fun Day, and the Christmas for Sumpter Families.
