Van Buren Township’s brand-new poll flags were put up at Owen Intermediate School to mark the May 3 Washtenaw Intermediate School District election. And, they’ll be marking the polls for the August and November elections, as well.
VBT ran the school election in Precinct 10, which has some voters in the Lincoln School District. They voted 37 yes and 47 no on the special education ballot proposal.
Sumpter Township had three precincts in the Lincoln School District voting that day. In Precinct 1, the total was 12 yes, 20 no; Precinct 2, 10 yes and 27 no; precinct 5, 5 yes and 18 no, for a total Sumpter vote of 27 yes, 65 no.
The final tally for the Washtenaw ISD Proposal was 19,180 yes and 13,273 no.
