Why are the patrol cars on I-94 writing tickets day and night? That’s not traffic cars I’m talking about. I’m talking about the “zone cars” that are supposed to be patrolling the township. Sitting on the freeway constantly. It makes no sense.
I’ve heard this complaint in past years and one of the residents was wondering why VBT patrols the expressway when they have a 36 square mile township to patrol. He felt this should be patrolled by the State only. He said his daughter had received a ticket for 5 over on the expressway. Perhaps the police chief could explain this.
Excellent letter from Trustee McClanahan regarding crime in VBT in the April 8th Independent. She’s correct about the 4 mills for our public safety employees. She and Trustee Miller are working together to improve our fractured board.
