Dr. Dave Wilson to explain coal tar sealants ban at library programy

In December, the Van Buren Township Board of Trustees voted to ban the use of coal tar driveway sealants in the township.
On Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m., Dr. David Wilson will take to the Homegrown Knowledge podium to explain the health and environmental dangers posed by coal tar products that prompted the ban.
The discussion will take place in the Belleville Area District Library program room.
The Homegrown Knowledge series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month.
Upcoming programs include:
• Friends of Michigan Animals Rescue on Feb. 11;
• Carmen Stovall of Crafted Modern Handmade Boutique on March 10; and
• Belleville Civil War Historical Society on April 14.
