Ryan Youmans earns Eagle Scout award

Ryan Youmans of Van Buren Township was presented with his Eagle Scout award and also an Eagle Bronze Palm on March 17 at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Ryan is a member of Boy Scout Troop 231 and has earned 47 merit badges. He is a junior at Belleville High School’s New Tech program and recently won $500 in the Soup Project with his plan to bring canoeing to Belleville Lake on Oct. 3.
He is in the concert and marching bands at BHS and also on the varsity swim team. Ryan is an NRA Instructor in both shotgun and rifle and has worked his way up to Expert. He aspires to be a Wildlife Conservation Officer or pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
