Pedestrian in critical condition after accident on S. I-94 Service Drive

Billy McFarley, a 39-year-old Van Buren Township resident, was walking eastbound on the I-94 South Service Drive near Denton Road at about 9:53 p.m. on Christmas Day when he was struck by a motor vehicle.
McFarley was treated at the scene by VBT public safety personnel and Huron Valley Ambulance paramedics prior to being transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
VBT Police Lt. Kenneth Floro said Brian Lemble, a 41-year-old Indiana resident, was driving eastbound on the I-94 South Service Drive when he struck McFarley.
The VBT Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene to investigate the incident and collect physical evidence. Anyone with information or questions about this incident is asked to contact Lt. Floro at (734) 699-8915.
