Jeanyne Randall, 45, of Ypsilanti Township, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle accident at about 7 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, near the corner of Ecorse and Haggerty roads.
In a press release, Van Buren Township Police Lt. Kenneth Floro said when police arrived they saw a Nissan Xterra parked in the eastbound lanes of Ecorse Road and a Toyota Camry that was off the roadway on the south side of Ecorse Road.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Daniel Sielski, 57, of Van Buren Township was traveling westbound on Ecorse when he collided with a 2007 Toyota Camry that was traveling southbound on Haggerty Road.
Sielski was treated at the scene by VBT fire fighters and Huron Valley Ambulance Paramedics. He was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where he was treated and released.
