On Thursday, April 3, a PBS/NPR crew from WGVU at Grand Valley State University in Allendale spent the afternoon in a log cabin home on Hull Road in Van Buren Township owned by Fred Priebe and his wife Bonnie.
The Priebes have appeared as President Abraham Lincoln and his wife around the world and the television crew was there to record the Priebes for a segment in “The Address.”
The 150th anniversary of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address was celebrated last November and filmmaker Ken Burns challenged all Americans to learn and recite the speech. His 90-minute documentary will premiere at 9 p.m. April 15 on Public Broadcasting System channels. The Priebes are expected to be a part of that film.
