Van Buren Township Police assisted Ann Arbor Police officers in serving a search warrant in a homicide investigation on Aug. 6 at Lighthouse Pointe apartments on the I-94 North Service Drive.
Two were taken into custody by Ann Arbor Police, said VBT Lt. Ken Floro.
VBT officers taking part in the operation were Sgt. Jeff Gueli, Officers Donovan McCarthy, Derek Perez, and Chris Valinski and Lt. Dennis Brooks and Sgt. Mike Moening.
Paul DeWolf, a 25-year-old University of Michigan medical student, was found dead in his Ann Arbor apartment on July 24. An autopsy the next day showed he died from a single gunshot wound and no firearm was found at the scene.
Ann Arbor police offered a $5,000 reward and University of Michigan police offered another $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
The $10,000 total reward was announced on Aug. 5 and the arrests in VBT were the next day.
Ann Arbor Detective Lt. Robert Pfannes said on Thursday that there was no new information for police to release.
