Jiyahna Price graduates from Bethune-Cookman with highest honors

Jiyahna Shante Price of Van Buren Township recently graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL.
She majored in Integrated Environmental Science in the college of Science, Engineering and Mathematics and earned summa cum laude honors.
Bethune-Cookman is an Historical Black College and University (HBCU). Jiyahna has just finished her summer internship with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She will be heading back to Bethune Cookman to finish up her master’s degree in Integrated Environmental Science.
Jiyahna is a 2020 graduate of Belleville High School. She earned a full-ride academic scholarship to Bethune-Cookman. She was invited to Washington, D.C. for the Annual National HBCU Week Conference in 2022.
