Bart Patterson, Republican candidate for Sumpter Township Treasurer in the Nov. 8 general election, said he filled out the candidate’s form for an Independent story and emailed it to the Independent five days before the deadline.
The Independent did not receive it until it was resent on Oct. 13. In the Oct. 13 issue the newspaper reported that he did not complete the candidate’s form. We are happy to print it and are sorry we didn’t get it the first time it was sent.
