The Belleville High School reunion for the class of 1980 is finally happening on Oct. 16, 2021.
The 40th reunion had to be rescheduled twice due to COVID restrictions and precautions.
“It was disappointing to have to reschedule the first time last September, but it was even more heartbreaking to have to move it a second time,” said Cindy Thomas, one of the organizers of the event along with Sandy Washburn, Tonya (Ralls) Porzondek, Alisa Walls, and Susan Carlson. “We’re excited to finally be moving forward. It’s going to be a fun event.”
The reunion is open to the classes of 1978-82, and they hope teachers and administrators will attend as it will be more fun to include all the people they went to high school with.
It will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Belleville Yacht Club (BYC). Mingling starts at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., followed by music and more fun with old friends.
