A 19-year-old Ann Arbor man was arrested in northwestern Michigan after a chase that went for 32 miles. He was driving a white Toyota Corolla stolen from Van Buren Township.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s office said he was driving 80 mph in a 55-mph zone on U.S. 10 in Orient Township. The driver refused to pull over, leading police on a pursuit west on US-10 through Evart and Reed City, then into Mecosta County.
In Big Rapids, police put stop spikes on the road at about 10:30 p.m., Sept. 28, and the driver was taken into custody. The driver’s name was not immediately released. He was also wanted on two outstanding warrants. Now, he faces fleeing and eluding charges in the stolen car case.
