A woman in her 30s from Romulus is being held in custody by Van Buren Township police for a stabbing that occurred about 11:56 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Water’s Edge Apartments on the South I-94 Service Drive.
VBT Police Lt. Charles Bazzy said police were called to a domestic dispute at the location and found the 40-year-old male victim with a superficial wound to the chest. Another victim, a woman in her 30s, was present.
Police are seeking warrants for the suspect from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office for assault with intent to murder on the man and felonious assault against the female.
Lt. Bazzy said the male victim is not being cooperative and insists he “fell down” and got his injury.
