The Wayne County Fair is under way through Saturday, Aug. 8, at the fairgrounds on Quirk Road, north of the I-94 North Service Drive, in Van Buren Township.
Thursday, Aug. 6, is Kids Day. Special events include goat milking, a horse show, Great Lakes Jousting, mini-pedal tractors, a carnival, Miracle of life Exhibit, a strolling stiltwalker, Enduro Derby/Figure 8/Demo Derby, coloring contest and bike raffle.
Friday, Aug. 7, is Veterans Day, starting with breakfast 7-10 a.m., pig trail, horse show, shepherd’s trail, goat pack class, Great Lakes Jousting, stiltwalker, carnival, Miracle of Life, wood carving, and Night of Destruction.
Saturday, Aug. 8, is Family Day, with a car show, kids jousting, master stockman contest, wood carving, kids games, Miracle of Life exhibit, awards, Mud Bog/ATV obstacle race.
