Iron Mountain and Van Buren Township are presenting a free shred day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the township hall parking lot, 46425 Tyler Road. This is for VBT residents only.
Welcomed are a maximum of five cartons or medium-sized bags of documents per vehicle. No three-ring binders or metal of any kind.
Allowed are blueprints, books and bound paper material, brochures, business and multi-part forms, computer paper, notebooks and file folders, letterheads and envelopes, and Post-it notes.
Also, welcomed, are the following packaged separately: carbon paper, diskettes and compact discs, photos, transparencies and celluloid, typewriter and printer ribbons, video tapes (including surveillance, and banker bags.
