Northville Mayor Brian Turnbull and Van Buren Township Supervisor Kevin McNamara have made a spirited bet on their high school football teams; with the championship game this Friday, the winner gets the loser’s basket.
Mayor Turnbull’s Northville basket contains local delights like Ciders from Parmenter’s 1843 Cider Mill, Jogues’s Original 1843 Craft Vanilla Extract, a Growler from one of Northville’s three breweries, a souvenir from the Historic Mill Race Museum, and gift certificates to Guernsey Farms Ice Cream.
Supervisor McNamara’s Van Buren Township basket features fresh corn from Budd’s Centennial Farm, steaks from the 4-H Club’s Award-winning Steer, and a specially crafted bourbon by the Rusty Crow for the BYC.
This friendly water celebrates their communities and their football passion. May the best team win (GO TIGERS).
