Officials in Sumpter Township and Van Buren Township have instituted public opinion surveys on the internet and on paper to find out what their residents want.
In Sumpter, the planning commission is seeking input on what land use residents would like to see in their township in the future. This is part of the work being done on update of the Master Plan.
The Sumpter survey is available at www.sumptertwp.com . A paper version to fill out is available at the township clerk’s office. The survey deadline is Sept. 1.
The VBT survey is being put on by the Downtown Development Authority and seeks opinions on what the DDA should do with the property it just bought on Belleville Road. The property is the former Albert Harris home and toy shop and the site wraps around the Remerica Main Street office.
That survey is available at www.vanburen-mi.org on the DDA part of the site.
