Supt. Kudlak thanks community for donations

At the Jan. 14 meeting of the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education, School Supt. Pete Kudlak thanked the community for all the donations for the district students over the holidays. A special thank you went to Bob and Carrie Castino who put together the Angel Tree Donations at the Belleville Yacht Club every year. This year they were able to help 16 families and more than 50 students. When they dropped off the donations it filled the whole board room at the administration building, Supt. Kudlak said.
Jessica Darcy of Holiday Inn Express also was on the agenda to be thanked for the hat and mitten donations, but she was unable to be present, Kudlak said.
